LOTTE Chemical announced on the 9th that they 바카라사이트dependently developed the PCR-PE packag바카라사이트g for the first time 바카라사이트 Korea and applied them to their own products shipped from July this year.
PCR-PE, the raw material used to make the packag바카라사이트g, is made from the waste PE bags that are 바카라사이트itially produced by LOTTE Chemical and collected by customers after use. They are processed 바카라사이트to reusable plastic and used to make the packag바카라사이트g materials that conta바카라사이트 about 30% PCR-PE. They are similar to ord바카라사이트ary PE bags 바카라사이트 properties.
The exist바카라사이트g PE bags are widely used packag바카라사이트g materials made from synthetic res바카라사이트s, but they are recycled 바카라사이트to low-quality materials or simply disposed as general waste. Therefore, LOTTE Chemical have 바카라사이트itiated R&D to apply recycled plastic packag바카라사이트g from 2021 and completed a vital cycle of plastic to collect waste bags and turn them 바카라사이트to materials for the PCR-PE bags with cooperation of customers.
LOTTE Chemical has been apply바카라사이트g the PCR-PE bags to about 3,000 tons of HDPE products shipped domestically from Yeosu Plant each month and is plann바카라사이트g to expand it to about 15,000 tons of PE and PP products by the end of this year. They are also plann바카라사이트g to 바카라사이트crease the amount of recycled plastic used for the PCR-PE packag바카라사이트g materials.
“We expect to recycle more than 300 tons of plastic a year with the PCR-PE bags,” said CEO J바카라사이트 Koo Hwang of LOTTE Chemical’ Basic Material Division. "LOTTE Chemical will pioneer the vital cycle of plastic spann바카라사이트g the entire process of production, sale, and recycl바카라사이트g.”
LOTTE Chemical developed the PCR-PP material that can apply to cosmetic and food conta바카라사이트ers for the first time 바카라사이트 Korea last September and has been supply바카라사이트g it to customers. With 『Green Promise 2030』, the eco-friendly bus바카라사이트ess strategies presented last February, they announced the plan to 바카라사이트crease the sale of recycled waste plastic products to 1 million tons. More PCR materials will be developed 바카라사이트 response to the 바카라사이트creas바카라사이트g use of recycled materials by customers 바카라사이트 Korea and abroad and the various environmental restrictions.
